Abstract

The finite integral transformation method is applied to the modelization of a blood-flow spherical probe—heated thermocouple or thermistor probe. The present modelization is very general and allows the study of the influence on the measure of the fact that the instrumented medium dimensions are finite. It is demonstrated that deviations from the infinite medium theory cannot be neglected if the probe dimensions are greater than 0.1 times those of the medium.
