Abstract

This paper aims to underline the advantages shown by the use of textual genres for the teaching of business French and the first stage of the translation process. By comparing the texts originated during the process of setting up a company both in France and in Spain, an analytic pathway is proposed to bring students an approach of language use in context. Important textual similarities between both processes are displayed, which could enable to establish further comparative pragmatic devices of the use of specialised languages and the creation of «natural» translations.
