Abstract

ABSTRACT Tensor permeability may be used to describe fluid flow through layered and cross-bedded reservoirs, in which the natural directions of flow are not those of an imposed pressure drop. We present a discussion of tensor permeability, involving its nature and properties, method of computation, and an application to a naturally cross-bedded formation.
