Abstract

Abstract Adsorption isotherms for single metal ions(Ca2+, Fe3+, Cu2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, or Pb2+) in acidic solutions at 25 °C on 9 types of commercial chelating resins were obtained. The results could all be expressed by the isotherm equation, Q=Qmax⁄(1+ACM−αCHβ), reported in the preceding paper. The parameters α and β, which indicate respectively the influences of concentrations of metal ion (CM) and hydrogen ion (CH) on the adsorption capacities (Q), were discussed in relation to the properties of the chelating resins and the metal ions.
