Abstract
This paper investigates the spinodal behavior of non-thermal damage phenomena. As anexample, a non-thermal fiber-bundle model with the global uniform (mean field) loadsharing is considered. In the vicinity of the spinodal point, power-law scaling behavior isfound. For the mean field fiber-bundle model the spinodal exponents are found to havetypical mean field values.
