Abstract

This appendix section of the book titled The Application of Islamic Criminal Law in Pakistan contains list of statutes. Few of the statutes include Constitution (Amendment) Order, 1981, Pakistan Penal Code, 1860, The Law Commission Ordinance, and 1979 The Punjab Murderous Outrages Act, 1867. The entries are arranged in alphabetical order. The book deals specifically with the consequences of enforcing Islamic criminal law in Pakistan, providing an in-depth and critical analysis of the application of the Islamic law of Qisas and Diyat in the Muslim world today. The empirical evidence adduced more broadly demonstrates the complications of applying traditional Sharia in a modern state.
