Abstract

Background: Fibronectin (IF) is a multidomain adhesive glycoprotein present in connective tissue on cell surfaces in insoluble fibrilar form and in plasma and other body fluids as a globular dimeric protein. It has been postulated that a conformational changes precede the formation of insoluble multimeric fibrilar fibronectin from soluble globular form, present in plasma.
