Abstract
I. Rehabilitation of Alvaradoa subovata Cronquist (Simaroubaceae), the correct scientific name for the pichi blanco. II. Roupala cataractarum Sleumer is a synonym of Roupala brasiliensis Klotzch (Proteaceae). A brief account regarding the validated nomenclature, Roupala brasiliensis and Alvaradoa subovata , for both taxa is given. Pollen observations obtained from SEM, in order lo complement the identifications, are also given.
