Abstract

The recent study intitled What is man? written by the Pontifical BiblicalCommission (PBC) was involved in a reductionist polemic that troubled sexual moral’s topics, even before it’s publication. However, a careful analysis of the documentallows us to catch a glimpse of a newness/continuity dynamic in relation toprevious Vatican commission’s studies as well as a proposal of an “itinerary” thatgoes beyond a doctrinal recipe. This in order to assume that there is no unique answerin the Bible about the human being, but a multiplicity of relations that set uphis “imagen” and “mystery” dimension.
