Abstract
The article discusses elements for the debate on the education of racial relations and the teaching of African and afro-brazilian history as a contribution to the debate on curriculum and education. It presents some points for a discussion on the interpretation and historical narrative around the teaching of contemporary African history. This will be done based on considerations about the epistemological debate around the publication of the Volume IX of the General History of Africa. It is intended to contribute to this debate with the introduction of theoretical and methodological aspects that guide the proposition around the notion of global Africanity from the contemporary historiographical discussion.

Resumo: O artigo apresenta elementos para o debate sobre a Educação das Relações ÉtnicoRaciais e o ensino de história da África e afro-brasileira como contribuição para o debate sobre currículo e formação docente. Apresenta alguns pontos para uma discussão sobre a interpretação e narrativa histórica em torno do ensino da história da África contemporânea. Isso será feito a partir de considerações sobre o debate epistemológico empreendido em torno da publicação do IX volume da Coleção História Geral da África da UNESCO. Pretende-se contribuir com esse debate com a introdução de aspectos teóricos e metodológicos que balizam a proposição em torno da noção de africanidade global a partir da discussão historiográfica contemporânea.
