Editor, Trends in Pharmacological SciencesAn article by M.A. Zordan and C.P. Kyriacou, entitled ‘The circadian clock in mammals’, published in 2000 in the Journal of Headache and Pain [Vol. 1 (Suppl. 2), S103–S107] includes large sections of text that were unintentionally copied from a previously published Trends in Pharmacological Sciences article by E.H. Jacobs, A. Yamatodani and H. Timmerman entitled ‘Is histamine the final neurotransmitter in the entrainment of circadian rhythms in mammals?’ (Trends Pharmacol. Sci. 21, 293–298). M.A. Zordan has expressed his deepest apologies to the authors of the original article, and the readers, editorial teams and publishers of Journal of Headache and Pain and Trends in Pharmacological Sciences.
