Abstract
Reducing the synthesis of apoC-III reduces fasting triglycerides in individuals lacking lipoprotein lipase activity. Recently, Stroes etal.1 published a phase 3 trial on the effects of olezarsen, a third-generation antisense oligonucleotide that blocks apoC-III mRNA, on triglycerides and risk of acute pancreatitis.
