Abstract

Background and Aims: Apolipoprotein A-IV (apoA-IV) is involved in reverse cholesterol transport and has anti-atherogenic, antioxidative and antithrombotic properties. A decreasing estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) is associated with increasing apoA-IV concentrations. The aim of this study was to examine the association between apo-A-IV concentrations with all-cause mortality and cardiovascular outcomes in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).
