Abstract
The essay attends to the large repertoire verbally translated literature in the Ukraine, especially to apocryphal world creation legends. The Ukrainian collection and research work to legends and other verbal translated text material had its high point at the end of 19 t h and the beginning of 20th century. Apocryphal legends are to be understood by verbally translated prose texts, which approach thematically the Apocrypha's, exhibit motives from the Apocrypha and the Bible, but don't are Apocrypha. The exemplarily analyzed legend of world creation is a lining up of different motives. In the trinity God, Satan, Michael stands the person Satan in the centre of view. As origin for the creation legends with dualistic character an Iranian-Gnostic motive can be accepted, that by Christian-Biblical as well as Christian-apocryphal influences was been modified.
