Abstract

Background and Aims: The role of the apolipoprotein E (APOE) ɛ2/ɛ3/ɛ4 polymorphism in lipid metabolism, vascular disease and dementia is well-characterized. The impact of the full range of structural genetic variation in APOE for lipids and lipoproteins and for vascular disease is however not known.
