Abstract

Shawllira Sdn. Bhd. is a business organization that sells various types of headscarves for women. Shawllira has been in the business arena since 2019 and is based in Johor Bahru. From the beginning of the business, Shawllira used a method of manual data keeping, which is all the information about business is written in a notebook and using Microsoft Excel. This method will be exposed to the risk of losing important business data. In addition, Shawllira faces buying and selling problem where customers who want to make a purchase must contact Shawllira through the Whatsapp application because there is no special medium for the purchase of Shawllira products. This resulted in the buying and selling process becoming chaotic and further disrupting Shawllira's business operations. Therefore, Shawllira On The Go Application, which is an e-commerce application based on Android platform and web-based system specially developed for Shawllira Sdn. Bhd to overcome these problems. Android-based application is developed specifically for Shawllira customers while Shawllira administrator use a web-based system. This web-based system aims to solve the problem of irregular business data storage, non-parallel sales record keeping and the problem of customers to purchase products from Shawllira. With this web-based system, Shawllira can store their business data such as product stock data and sales record data more systematically. In addition, Shawllira is also able to view business sales records more easily because sales records such as profit, capital and other costs will be displayed automatically in this web-based system. In terms of specially developed application, Shawllira customers can enjoy smooth and faster access in viewing the various types of products sold as well as the total stock of products available at the time and subsequently can make purchases through this application. Through this web-based system, administrator can access business data and sales data more accurately and customers can also enjoy the convenience of purchasing Shawllira products in the application more quickly and easily. The development of these application and web-based system uses a structured approach method and the Agile methodology is implemented because the Agile model is the right choice technique for developing these application and web system. Application is developed using Android Studio software and use the Java programming language while the web-based system uses Sublime Text and CPanel software, as well as programming languages written in HTML and PHP. In terms of database, the software used is CPanel and programming language is using MySQL. Application and web-based system development can help Shawllira and its customers to enjoy a more organized and easy facility while being able to store data more securely and systematically.
