Abstract
This paper represents an approach to Project Management techniques, based on the main project management processes defined by PMBOK® (2017) and practical applications, specifically in the Geotechnical Engineering field. The main goal of this monograph is to demonstrate the importance of the existence of the project management culture within an organization and the positive impacts that this can have on a company's projects, such as greater financial gains, increase of market value and become a reference in the field for possible future clients and existing ones. In addition, the main data from this study will show that a Project Manager of a mature organization in the subject, where there is a methodology to be followed and the procedures are well defined, plays a fundamental role for the project’s final result.
