Abstract

Malignant pericardial effusion is the end stage of breast cancer. Pericardiocentesis is the most useful therapeutic emergency procedure for the management of symptomatic pericardial effusion and cardiac tamponade. There are three main approaches: apical, subcostal or parasternal approach.
