Abstract

The corrosion inhibition of bis triazole carbohydrate in static conditions and laminar flow was tested by means of two techniques, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and polarization curves. Efficiency results showed that the bis triazole carbohydrate, from low concentrations, is effective in static conditions and 100 rpm with IE = 90 % at 5 ppm. The adsorption process is chemisorption at 0 rpm is a combined process. These results revealed that the bis triazole carbohydrate is a good corrosion inhibitor of carbon steel.
