Abstract

De Garengeot's hernia - a femoral hernia containing the cecal appendix - is a very infrequent and challenging diagnosis. We present a case of an 82-year-old man with a De Garengeot's hernia containing an acute perforated appendicitis with free appendicolith in the hernial sac that was diagnosed preoperatively with CT. Femoral hernia repair and McBurney appendectomy was performed.
