Abstract
It's news, and it's worth restating, even though many have said it: he National Institute on Drug Abuse Director, Nora D. Volkow, M.D., said that even primary care physicians should be able to prescribe methadone for opioid use disorder (OUD). She made this remarkable statement in response to ADAW's question during a press briefing at the American Psychiatric Association (APA) annual meeting last week in New York City.
