Abstract

An aortobronchial fistula resulting in massive hemoptysis developed in a 48-year-old man 15 months after unilateral lung transplantation. His posttransplantation recovery was complicated by bronchial dehiscente requiring revision and subsequent stricture formation treated by granulation tissue excision, placement of endobronchial stents, dilation, and laser photoablation. Early and aggressive treatment using these modalities is necessary in the successful management of airway complications after pulmonary transplantation.
