Abstract

Objectives: On June 2nd 1989, with a body weight of 2.7kg at 12 days of age this patient was the first to survive a neonatal Ross procedure employing a 9mm diameter cryo-preserved pulmonary homograft for pulmonary valve replacement. Homograft change was required at 25 months empoying a 14mm pulmonary homograft. At 13.5 years follow-up ascending aortic diameter was 5.6cm with stable mild aortic valve regurgitation. Total ascending aortic replacement and aortic root remodelling was indicated. For moderate pulmonary homograft stenosis, replacement was indicated also.
