Abstract

An aortic body tumor was found in a 3-year-old male albino rat. Among 2,552 tumors reported by other authors in 2,152 rats, no mention of aortic body tumor was found in the literature surveyed. Cytologic and histogenetic features of chemodectomas in general, and of this tumor in particular, are presented.
