Anxiety and coping style in parents of juvenile with Internet addiction

Abstract

Objective To investigate the anxiety and coping style in parents of juvenile with Interact addiction.Methods The State Anxiety Inventory(SAI) and Trait Cooping Style Questionnaire(TCSQ) were applied to 61 parents of juvenile with Interact addiction.Results The SM and TCSQ scores of these parents were obviously higher than those in the normal eamples.The scores of negative coping end positive coping between fathers and mathers had no diference.The scores of negative coping in mathers were higher than thoee in fathers.The scores of positive coping were higher as the higher education level and the scores of negative coping were lower as the higher education level.Conclusions Clese attention should be paid to the different education level of the parents of juvenile with Interact addiction.Realizing these results can help nurses to provide mental intervention to these parents.
