Abstract

In the spring of 1963 the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University was fortunate in acquiring from Dr. A. K. Schindler his manuscripts, notes, sketches, and photographs concerned with the genus Desmodium (Leguminosae) and its relatives. This material is the basis for much of his published work and much which remained unpublished at the end of his botanical career. It is a valuable addition to the collection of manuscripts available for study in the combined library of the Arnold Arboretum and Gray Herbarium.
