Es wurden an Ratten einige 1-Alkyl-imidazolidin-2-thione auf ihre thyreostatische Wirkung gepruft. Das 1-Athyl und das 1-Isopropylderivat sind in ihrer Wirkung mit Neomercazol vergleichbar.
