Abstract
The quantities of antistaphylococcal hemolysins in sera from 105 adult humans were determined. Ninety-six percent of the samples contained detectable levels of anti-alpha hemolysin and 80% contained anti-beta hemolysin. All sera had a similar quantity of delta hemolysin inhibitor. This inhibitory factor is believed to be serum lipid and not antibody.
