Abstract
Data are presented on the ability of synthetic β-carotene to reduce the level of cyclophosphane-induced chromosome aberrations in murine bone marrow cells. InSalmonella typhimurium cells β-carotene exhibits antimutagenic activity only against an indirect mutagen (2-acetylaminofluorene).
