Abstract

Antimicrobial study is an important criterion for most of the byproducts; number of plants products shows inhibition against bacteria and fungus, form this study, we identified that microalgae has potential as antibiotic and anti-microbial as they able to suppress the growth of bacteria and fungi by formation of clear zone on agar plate can be observed. Microalgae were mostly used in biodiesel production, after the treatment slurry or waste products will be utilized for antimicrobial study. This study show that microalgae consist of antibiotic properties in a broad range as it able to suppress the growth of gram negative and positive biological organisms. Lastly, it may become one of the important ingredients in the production of new candidate drugs in the future.
