Abstract
Rhinosinusitis is among the most common conditions in North America, affecting more than 31 million people annually [1,2]. Chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) prevalence, however, is difficult to extrapolate because of the heterogeneity of its presentation and imprecise diagnosis [3]. Refractory chronic rhinosinusitis (RCRS) is defined as persistence of signs and symptoms of CRS despite technically adequate functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS) and adequate postoperative medical management [4].
