Abstract

This chapter presents an overview on the Anti-Judaism in the medical and natural sciences and philosophical writings of Paracelsus. It examines the medical-scientific and philosophical writings of Hohenheim (according to the classification of the issue of Karl Sudhoff) on anti-Jewish tendencies. It should be noted in advance that in the writings of Paracelsus no gross deviations can be found from the estimates made in the anti-Jewish statements of Hohenheim, in which the statements are delivered in medical-scientific and philosophical writings. The debate of Hohenheim with Judaism stands in a tradition that dates back to the Middle Ages to antiquity. The chapter investigates the theological opinions of Hohenheim to Judaism especially in the medical-scientific and philosophical writings with regard to the social field. Given the fact that Hohenheim regarded the Jews as cursed by God. The original text of the chapter is in German.
