Abstract
Enhancement of superconductivity for a superconductor in coexistence with an antiferromagnetic sublattice is investigated. The approach is based on a generalised Ginzburg-Landau free energy functional for the above system. The exchange interaction mechanism between both phases can either lead to enhancement or suppression of superconductivity. The size of enhancement depends on the density of the antiferromagnetic order parameter and its corresponding correlation length.
