Abstract

A novel antiferromagnetic semiconductor, Eu3Sn2P4, is discovered and prepared using Sn-flux method. The crystal structure shows that the six Sn–Sn dimers connected by P atoms form Sn12P24 crown-shape cluster with Eu atoms located in the center.
