Abstract

Powder neutron diffraction has been performed on the orthorhombic compound DyPdGe 2. A magnetic decoupling of the two Dy sublattices is observed at low temperature: the 4i crystallographic sites order antiferromagnetically at T N =13 K with a simple Q =0 propagation vector, while the 4h sites order only around 4 K with the Q =(1,0,0) vector.
