Abstract

Depressive and anxiety disorders are two of the most life-debilitating mental health problems, affecting millions worldwide. Despite both conditions being manageable with medication, it often come with unwanted side effects. With rising attention to plant-based medications, flavonoids are one of the compounds eyed as phytochemicals that have potential antidepressant and anxiolytic properties.
