Abstract

The anticoagulative activity of a newly isolated ω-heparin from whale lung and intestine was compared with that of beef heparin by the intramuscular route in dogs and in two cases of Buerger's disease. The exact comparison could hardly be made, but the authors roughly estimated that the potency of ω-heparin was 1.5-fold that of lente preparation of beef heparin in the same dose level.
