Inappropriate use of antibiotics has been closely linked to antibiotic resistance and rising health care cost. LRTI remains one of the most common reasons for antibiotic use in children. RSV infection is the most common cause of LRTI in young children and the presence of concurrent bacterial infection is very infrequent.
