Abstract

Background, Objectives: Malassezia furfur is a yeast that causes skin diseases in humans and causes inconvenience to humans. This study is about anti-malassezia furfur effects and antioxidant effects of medicinal plants. Methods, Statistical analysis: Medicinal plant ethanol extracts were examined by disc diffusion method for anti-Malassezia furfur activity and used fluconazol(50mg/ml), 99% Ethanol as a positive controls. We measured the area of clear zone and evaluated that the larger size of the area was more effectives against Malassezia furfur. Findings: The result of this study, Cinnamomum cassia Blume value was highest as 32mm and next Rhus javanica L. 25mm. This result is a result which is equivalent to about 62% when compared to 52mm of the Fluconazol (50mg / ml) positive control. Improvements/Applications: when they are used for soap, shampoo, body wash applied to skin by combination of them, It is thought to be an excellent natural antimicrobial material that prevents skin disease.
