Anthropology of property and semiotics of money

Abstract

The article suggests to consider the phenomenon of property in the process of the human consciousness forming. The consciousness is regarded as a semiotic phenomenon, the high-developed human consciousness becomes possible by dint of attaining higher (in compare with animal) levels of abstractness, in particular ability to abstracting from direct environment. The process of abstracting is long and difficult and can’t go without some or other form of personification. A key-thesis of the present article is that property is a sort of personification in the process of passing to the third and further higher levels of abstractness. It is demonstrated also that money is a manifestation of further levels of abstracting in the practical activity of human.
