Abstract

Stein’s theory of education is inseparable of an anthropology characterized by its metaphysical dimension. Her existential analysis of the human finitude, quite different from Heidegger’s philosophy of existence, brings to light the essential opening of the finite being on the eternal being as its inner principle and foundation. The importance of the interiority of the soul is crucial to appreciate the meaning of education as an entire «recreation» of the human being from its depth. Our contribution is an approach of that process of recreation by the formative force of the divine grace which represents what Stein calls the «supernatural destination» of human person.
