Abstract

Abstract Dislocations of the distal tibiofibular joint reported in the literature are mostly associated with the tibial portion. Fibular anterior dislocation of this joint is rare. Dislocation of the distal tibiofibular joint that results in widening of the talofibular space and diastasis of ankle joint is even rare than other diastasis with widening of the medial clear space. We herein presented a case in which the fibula was anteriorly dislocated from the distal tibiofibular groove resulting in a lateral ankle joint diastasis.
