Abstract

Now a days, with the advent of technologies, the amount of data to be carried by the communication systems has increased by many folds. Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) technology is fast becoming a promising solution for the problem. High data rate, large bandwidth and immunity to multipath interference are the important characteristics of UWB. UWB antenna must not yield undesired distortions and hence a good design is crucial. This paper reviews the work done in the field so far and attempts to give overall scenario of where the research is headed in UWB antenna design.
