Abstract

A plane-wave-synthesis technique is presented as an alternative approach to the prediction of antenna far-field patterns from measurements taken in the near-field. Based on spherical scanning, the method allows prediction over all space and requires only simple mathematical routines for its implementation. Experimental results are provided as verification of the process.
