Abstract
AbstractIn this article, design and implementation of a monopole antenna covering GSM/PCN/Bluetooth and GPS bands are demonstrated. The antenna is modified from a symmetrical self‐complementary strip‐slot structure. However, one arm of the U‐shaped slot on the ground plane is extended to the rim of the printed circuit board. It is investigated that this extension makes the antenna well matched at a wideband. Without this extension, the antenna can only be worked at three separated narrow bands. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
