Abstract

Satellite radar altimeters from different missions are being used to monitor changes in surface height over the terrestrial ice sheets. This communications highlights sources of error that do not appear to have been accounted for in these analyses, namely, errors caused by differences in antenna beamwidths, antenna pointing angles, and stabilities.
