Abstract
1. 1. A case of antenatal volvulus of the ileum with death two hours after birth is presented. 2. 2. A brief survey is made of gastrointestinal development with some emphasis on the normal rotations of the primitive midgut, to bring out more clearly the abnormalities in rotation, of which this case furnishes an unusual example.
