Abstract

Diastematomyelia is a rare condition comprised of saggital division of the spinal cord into halves by either cartilagenous or bony spurs at any level of the spinal cord. It is usually associated with anomalous development of the vertebrae. We present a case demonstrating prenatal ultrasonographic features of diastematomyelia that was confirmed later by autopsy.
