Abstract

B are now being taken for the 13th Association for Nurse Prescribing (ANP) annual conference and CPD event. The conference will be held at the Wellcome Collection Conference Centre, which is almost opposite Euston Station in London, on 19 October 2011. If you arrive early, you could even pop into the wonderful Wellcome Collection and see quite how lucky today’s patients are... ANP conferences are always lively, friendly, and well-attended. There is plenty of opportunity for debate and questions about the talks, workshops and anything else you like. If you haven’t been before, do consider coming this time. It is a great way to keep up-to-date on important clinical issues and also to compare notes on the NHS changes and what they mean for the services you provide. The conference will be chaired by Baroness Julia Cumberlege, who is patron of the ANP. Fiona Culley will provide an update from the NMC and there will also be a talk on the legal aspects of prescribing. There will be five workshops in the morning, with four being repeated in the afternoon, so everyone can choose two: n Mental health n Sexual health n Diabetes (morning only) n Cancer/breakthrough pain n Prescribing and medicines management in aesthetic medicine. You can find out more and book online at the ANP website (www.anp.org.uk; just Lowri Daniels
