Abstract

The signals of the energy dependence of the giant dipole resonance width, obtained earlier in neutron radiative capture in the vicinity of the neutron binding energy and in heavy-ion reactions, have been verified against the available experimental data of nucleon radiative capture in the energy range from 5 to 25 MeV and masses Ag100. The study is done within the preequilibrium exciton model. Analyses of low-energy behavior (below 15 MeV) of the radiative capture excitation functions support the use of giant dipole resonance form with the energy-dependent width of the generalized Lorentzian.
